All the negative reviews I've read are completely true.  I have visited on several occasions where the staff are rude they don't know what the hell's going on with the clients.   My boyfriend had bruises on him they didn't know how he got them couldn't and could not explain them to me. He also was soaking wet and his bed almost every time I visit.  He never has clothes and the ones he does have in his room are all dirty and smell like urine along with him and his room.  Very few clean clothes or couldn't be found even his shoes.  I had to take him home for a visit in flip flops in the middle of winter. Plus he is never ready to go when I pick him up even when it's been scheduled way in advance.  I have to help him get ready or wait til they get him ready.  I have bought him so many clothes he should not have to worry about having something to wear.  This facility or staff do not seem to care about it's residents or for their proper care.  It is very sad.  If I could I would take him out of that place so fast heads would spin.  Every time I visit I am so upset or go to my car and cry because I am not his legal guardian can't remove him from this dirty uncaring place.  They don't do anything with the residents they just sit around or lay around doing nothing. They are just getting weaker and weaker when they could be doing more with assistance from the staff but as was stated in previous reviews the staff are on their phones,  lazy, rude, and uncaring.  Oh and to top it all off they hardly ever answer the phone or when they do you just keep getting disconnected.  So God please help who ends up in this horrible horrible dirty place. I don't understand how they haven't been shut down or reported for elderly abuse.  Pray for those who reside here, the facility, and all staff.  They need all the prayers they can get.

My grandmother lives here currently and tonight I went to visit her. The entire facility smells like pee and she had injuries from not being secured into her bus seat. When I was leaving I asked the nurse to help her to the bathroom and I was assured that would happen. 4 hours later my grandmother called me to tell me no one had taken her to the bathroom and that no one had showered her in almost a week. She is blind and immobile and this is unacceptable. I called up there to get someone to take her to the bathroom before she gets a UTI and I was unable to get through to any staff however two out of my five phone calls did get answered by different residents. Not staff. It’s completely unacceptable for a resident to be answering the phone and  for the residents to not be able to find any staff for help.

I come to this nursing home regularly and everyone here knows me as a Pastor, to which I am. But I remember that this place was shut down three weeks ago for a Covid incident but I realized that this just wasn’t true, violations caused them to shut down. New staff has cycled through since and things haven’t really changed too much.

I witnessed just now a nurse giving medicine to a patient and to be honest the patient can be a bit mean at times, but she wouldn’t take the medicine a certain way and gave clear instruction as to how it’s usually distributed, crushed or taken whole with water. She tried to give the patient all the pills at once with water but she can’t swallow, she was a victim in a fire to which really damaged her throat. Nothing will change with this place unless they take the time to cycle through proper employees.

I’ve been coming here for months and it’s the same story every time I come and these patients here are only miserable because of the mindset the staff comes in with, they’re miserable so they make the patients miserable, it just doesn’t make sense to me.

My uncle has been there for about 3 years. Each and every time I visit it is something wrong with him and he is bruised. The first time he had a huge dark purple boil on his leg the size of a baseball. Staff was so nonchalant like “oh a table fell on him”. Excuse me? And my family was not contacted at all. I recently visited him and his eye is red ball is red and it’s black and red around the eye. They staff and not even the nurse could or wanted to tell me what happened. I bought him tons of sweats, socks, T-shirt’s, a cover, and even slippers for him to wear while being there. I came back for a visit and NONE of his things are there. Every time I come staff is rude and looking at me as if my concern for my GREAT uncle is wrong. Their only concern is their paycheck. Every time I visit he has no clothes on and he is under a cover in just his draws. My uncle had a stroke so it’s hard for him to hold a conversation and understand you. However, I have lived with him my entire life he has NEVER slept without cloths. He is even unclothed during the day. Every time I visit he is crying. I think their staff is abusive. My uncle was the happiest man i know, always smiling. And this breaks my heart. We sent him there because he can’t be at home alone while we work. I can’t pick him up by myself If he was to fall out of the bed. He is there to be cared for and closely watched by staff. If this is not a job you love then quit and find a new one. It’s unfair.

If you’re looking for a holding place for you love one to transition uncomfortably don’t look any  further this is most definitely the worse nursing facility I’ve experienced in the State of Michigan! My mother was a resident there for several months and she has severely declined worse than she was before . My mother has been allegedly verbally and physically assaulted by staff members as she’s severely bed bound so she’s not able to care for herself AT ALL without the assistance of others ,, if she declines medication or treatment the staff would leave her laying there for hours without changing her brief, not turning her over to avoid her body breaking down worse then it was ,her hygiene was very poor there, her mental condition worsen , the staff meaning from the administration, DON, nurse, therapist, Cena’s ,front desk receptionist are all very rude , insensitive, ,combative and disrespectful , find pleasure in talking over you and don’t care to listen 👂 to any of your important concern regarding the resident!. Not to mention other residents walking up and down the halls ways, playing loud music, running in and out of the facility smoking, we’ve also received automated calls regarding visitors and patients smoking in inappropriate areas, as well as allegedly over hearing about  inappropriate encounters with one another !!! My mother also have heard conversations staff members having outside of her room about her mental health condition inappropriately. My family have received many calls about Covid out breaks related to the staff and residents . They Care  team don’t follow up on care conferences about your  love ones medical needs, scheduled out patient appointments are canceled without notifying the legal guardians before hand . They threatened to petition my mother out of the their  facility  base of accusations and making open and closed investigations of abuse from both ends ,meaning them mistreating ‘my mother or vice verse. The staff argue.and debate with you about personal matters they have with the resident family members that’s not related to the patient needs or care . The list goes on and on .I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone unless you’re just looking for a temporary place to live due to inflation. Very disappointed in the service my mother has and received , my family and the present and future workers and residents. I pray and hope the Stare of Michigan do a full and complete Investigation on every family and patient who’s been violated at this facility in any form ,shape or fashion. For the employees who went to school , worked hard and have a passion in this field I would highly recommend you seek employment At facilities that care about the wellness of others . Sincerely xoxo
