Phoenix has a good rehab and great for the elderly. I enjoyed exercising every day, the kindness of the nurses and aides good, nice, hot showers, and all I did very well there at Metro. I was getting hoisted out of the bed at Phoenix. I got out of the bed myself use the restroom myself and took myself to the gym every day Monday through Friday and now I am home. I have visited this facility for over 3.5 years, so I’ve had the opportunity to observe daily operations firsthand. I'm always impressed by the level of care provided!

The environment is always clean, well-maintained, and welcoming -- which makes a significant difference for both residents and staff.
The activities dept does a great job keeping residents engaged, active, and happy, and the result is a community where residents form real & genuine relationships with one another.
The nursing staff's consistency, compassion, and clinical skills are evident in everything they do. You can tell they truly care!

The food is consistently tasteful and presentable. The dining rooms are always full during mealtimes as residents enjoy eating together in a social, comfortable setting. The kitchen staff always goes above and beyond to ensure each residents is served a tasteful, filling, and balanced meal.

Management is always accessible and responsive. Michelle, the administrator, truly cares for each and every resident... she forms relationships with every resident and their family members. I've witnessed firsthand that the leadership team collaborates effectively to support the wellbeing of every resident. Their teamwork is evident!

Overall, this facility demonstrates a level of care and professionalism that truly stands out. It’s always a pleasure to visit such a dedicated team!

Deja, you seem very angry, but your portrayal of  Phoenix of Maple Hts. is simply not truthful.  Michelle the administrator is always available and gives everyone her cell phone number.  It's evident you never attempted to call her because she would ensure she addressed every concern you expressed.  It's very easy to lash out when your angry but its not right to lie. I had my aunt there after she was hit by a car.  Her care and therapy  was good and she was able to return to independent living.  I am not saying they are perfect but I know when my aunt wanted something particular from the kitchen, the manager came to speak to her and accommodated her.  As far as them not notifying you, unless your loved one has a guardian who they wound notify first, I was always kept in the loop with any changes.  The DON also was very responsive. I've been a nurse a long time and I was very pleased with my aunts stay.  Staff was friendly and gave better care then she had at the hospital.  I'm grateful to the staff at Phoenix of Maple Hts and would highly recommend them.

If you love your family, do NOT send them here. This place is an absolute disgrace to elder care. The owner, Michelle, is never around she’s all talk and zero accountability. The reviews claiming she “cares” are lies. She’s only around when it benefits her image or her wallet.

The staff are lazy and unprofessional. They sit around gossiping, sleeping on the clock, and even bring their kids to work on weekends when management isn’t around. If they were half as focused on the residents as they are on their phones, people wouldn’t be suffering.

The building reeks of urine, the food is disgusting, and the residents deserve so much better. My loved one was neglected and ignored. Phone calls go unanswered, updates never come, and if your family member gets sent to the hospital good luck finding out until it’s too late.

They’ll hire anyone with a pulse just to fill a shift. There’s no real oversight, no genuine compassion, and no respect for the people they’re supposed to be caring for. The only thing Michelle seems to care about is money. She runs that place like a cash grab, not a care facility.

This place is bottom of the barrel  filthy, careless, and dangerous. Do not be fooled by the fake reviews they beg people to write. Visit during a random shift and see for yourself how bad it really is. The fact that this facility is even open is shocking.

Please, if you value your loved one’s dignity or life, stay far away from this place. No one deserves to be treated like this.

Each time I see her, she asks how we’re doing, reminding me to reach out if I need anything. It’s rare to find someone so dedicated; her responsiveness and availability have made a significant difference—she even shares her phone number openly, showing a level of accessibility that is truly remarkable.

Effective leadership is the heartbeat of any successful facility, and at Phoenix of Maple Heights, that heartbeat thrives. The exemplary leaders here, Katrina, the Director of Nursing, and “D,” the Assistant Director of Nursing, are always just a question away, ready to address any concerns with genuine care. Their pride in their roles sets the tone for the entire team.

The nursing staff goes far beyond merely administering medication; they forge strong connections with the aides, working hand in hand to provide residents with thoughtful, comprehensive personal care and compassion. Their dedication shines through as they consistently exceed expectations, swiftly reporting any health concerns to the leadership team. It’s truly inspiring to witness the pride and passion that these nurses bring to their roles—it creates a nurturing environment that benefits everyone involved.

Of course, no facility is without its challenges; there might be a few individuals who don’t meet the high standards set by the others. What matters most is how those issues are addressed, and that begins with strong leadership.

Many people seek the flashiest facility for their loved ones, but it’s crucial to remember that genuine personal care is the heart of quality service, especially for someone relying on a facility for long-term support. While Phoenix of Maple Heights may not be the most visually stunning, the exceptional quality of personal care here is what truly counts.

Additionally, the diligence of the housekeeping staff has not gone unnoticed. They tirelessly ensure that the facility and residents’ rooms are kept clean, contributing to a comforting environment.

Most aides are incredibly dedicated, and even amidst the ongoing staffing shortages in nursing facilities, they continue to rise to the occasion, working as a close-knit team to meet the personal needs of the residents effectively even to the point of my son getting his hair cut without cost. Their commitment brings a sense of relief and assurance that my son is in good hands.

Would I recommend sending your loved ones to Phoenix of Maple Heights? ABSOLUTELY!
