I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for the care, compassion, and dedication I was shown during my stay at Quail Run. Mental health journeys are often filled with uncertainty, fear, and vulnerability, and the environment you create makes an immeasurable difference in the lives of those who walk through your doors.

I can not express the patience, kindness, and professionalism provided more than just treatment — it provided hope. In moments when individuals may feel at their lowest, your steady presence becomes a source of stability and reassurance. The respect and dignity everyone extended to me spoke volumes about your commitment to true healing.

Please know that your work does not go unnoticed. I definitely have to shout out Steve. He treated me like a human being,  he is real and genuine. Tech Jo, is also geniune, she is a hard worker and treats everyone with respect. Dr. Fermo, hands down the best doctor I have ever had the pleasure of being a patient to. He truly cares and doesn't mess around. Analysse is an amazing therapist! I do not know where I would be without you all.  I will forever and always be so grateful! The long hours, the emotional energy, and the quiet acts of encouragement all matter deeply. You are changing lives in ways that may not always be visible, but are profoundly meaningful.

Thank you for being a safe place, a listening ear, and a guiding light for so many. The impact of your compassion reaches far beyond your facility’s walls.

I was in the adolescent unit when I was admitted, and ooohhh boy, it was terrible.
We were forced to stay outside in winter and pretty much our entire unit huddled together for warmth because NONE of us were dressed for the weather. We begged to go back inside but we couldn’t because “it went against the schedule”. The phlebotomist sucked too, at least mine did. She did not listen to me when I told her to stop because it hurt, she kept missing my vein and kept going again and again. I’ve yet to recover from that, I still think every needle is going to hurt, whenever it absolutely shouldn’t hurt.
Hear me out, sometimes one serving of food isn’t enough for a kid. It happens. Now, let’s introduce a trouble maker. All of a sudden, the entire unit was punished by taking away any seconds… Which is weird, why are you taking food away from patients? On top of that, there was a lack of communication with staff and parents. At least the view and rooms were nice. Watching the sunrise was a highlight of my days there, and the rooms were oddly fancy (which I enjoyed). I don’t really recommend this hospital

The techs, nurses and social workers are awesome. When I was admitted prior to thanksgiving 2025 the staff, upon my admission, made me relinquish a white gold, diamond cross necklace, I paid quite a bit of money for.( I sold sterling silver Navajo jewelry I never wore)
When I was released 12/3/26 the necklace couldn’t be found.
I worked with Steve who was so kind, empathetic and an awesome person. He stayed in touch with me and communicated with me consistently. I hope corporate appreciates him as much as I do. People like Steve are in high demand and makes any behavioral health agency thrive.  Sometimes all it takes is kindness, empathy and compassion to turn an agitated individual into a person who can praise quail run to anyone needing help. Also I was there twice and the techs and nurses are awesome. They were there to assist any way they could. I think they should be recognized for a job well done. I can see it’s not easy. I’ve witnessed nurses and techs verbally assaulted and they remained calm and professional. It also taught me a life lesson in dealing with angry people. It’s simple because sometimes people just want to be heard. Being at Quail run helped me tremendously. I can now move on with my life in a positive and healthy way.
The groups I attended were awesome. I was there for my mental health. I had my meds changed and to be brutally honest, I had irritable bowel syndrome w/ diarrhea and after switching from sertraline to Effexor I no longer suffer from that debilitating problem. I thought it was from stress! I knew it couldn’t have been, so whichever doctor changed my meds, thank you so much for giving my life back. See? Everything in life happens for a reason! I also want to recognize Nurse Adrianna, and the others I cannot name. You rock! Plus the beautiful Kasauni the social worker for leading such interesting and mind bending groups.  Also Tamar who was fun and led us thru such positivity. Also Jade….  Who tolerated my teasing! Kiss kiss Jade, lol.
Dia another tech who was down to earth. Jo was also amazing. She could relate to us from her life experiences. She was from NY like me so she made me feel like I met an old friend. If I’ve left someone out, I apologize and it’s just I cannot remember their names.
Thank you Quail run for being there for me at my worst! I’m now at my best and have all of you to thank for my great mental and physical health. Hugs to all!! Well, I guess not hugs because Helene always put me in my place and tolerated my “tude” with such professionalism. Thank you too,Miss Helene!
I would give everyone a big raise because the jobs you do are not easy at all! I love you all but I hope I never see you again as a patient.

I'm really grateful for Q, Donald, RN's Rylee & Darren & a tech that pulled me aside to make a 30, 60, 90 day plan (forgive me for forgetting your name!) & ALSO the male student working with Dr. Manga (thank you for being empathetic and not judgmental). I'm also grateful to the cafeteria staff.

I'm also super lucky with the people that were in there with me because it was nice to get to know the other people.

I give 3 stars because the of some things at discharge and feeling LOST after. For example, the discharge dude flew by and didn't give me much information. They also scheduled me at MYDOCTORNOW for a psych evaluation. The evaluation had to be a 30 minute appointment and was incorrectly scheduled as if I've been there before. The receptionist at MYDOCTORNOW said it was incorrect and had to reschedule me...which would be in April. for a therapist.

My PCP at MYDOCTORNOW even said 'why are you being seen here for therapy?' and she kindly gave me a referral to an actual therapist and business.

I'm not sure why Quail Run doesn't have referrals or recommendations to get actual therapy. It was disappointing.

I was also told by Steve 'I could help you get a job if you lived over here' ... why are there no job opportunities all over the state?  I also said I could commute and crickets. Why even say something like that?

pretty much all the night crew people look at you with unkind eyes and seem afraid of you.

They'll tell you to go to sleep early because there will be 1 person bothering everyone else, but will let that 1 person sit by your door, talking all night and bothering everyone else.

There was a female patient also there having a meltdown and I understand that it's not fun to be around, but someone from 3 South came over to say 'wow you're just wonderful' to someone having a meltdown. Why is that necessary? Do you think that's making the situation even better?

The only entertainment is to watch TV and movies. Great whatever, it's better than nothing, and my group definitely bonded over it. However, I asked someone on the night shift to put something on and they said after their rounds. Why? How is that more important when there's ten of us sitting there with nothing to do.

Lastly, my social worker was non-existent. She did not upload the files she said she would. She also said 'your father uploaded stuff so I didn't need to'....my father doesn't have access to my application. On a Friday, she said she'll meet with me on a Monday. she did not.

The discharge dude also said I was approved for acchs but I'm not.

On the other hand, the couches and stuff are pretty old, ripped, and the vents are dirty and caked with dust. and no one cares to tell sick people to stop openly sneezing all over the place. I think if you're sick, you should wear a mask. I wore a mask every day but still got sick with a bad cold on my last day.

I am definitely thankful for the anti-depressant I was put on. For that, I'm super grateful.

Anyways, would I come here again? I'm not sure. I felt safe for sure, but I also felt judged by the people working there by how they stare at you. I understand there is violence so it is scary, but it's also what you signed up for. Not everyone there is a violent or scary person. Would I come back if I knew the specific people I mentioned would be there? Sure. They're awesome and made the time spent there bearable and even enjoyable. Shout out Q and Donald. Your guys' attitude was awesome and I will take that attitude with me if I find myself working some place like this.

Quail Run has been such a blessing. I needed some help recently and luckily I had Quail. At first, I wanted to leave because I found out the adult units were now coed. Luckily Steve and Annalynn convinced me to stay. I’m grateful to have attended and learned from most of the groups. And to my surprise, the guys on the unit made my experience better! Thank you so much to Jo, Gail, Jaeden, and I miss you Tori!
