I was in the ER last year. Everything went fine. BUT, they failed to mention to me or my Dr that they had taken me off a medication that absolutely can NOT be suddenly stopped. It has to tapered down. Well when the withdrawal symptoms started happening I freaked out. I didn’t know what was going on. I went to my dr and he figured out what it was very fast. And he was so mad. As was I! You , as a hospital should KNOW  not to ever suddenly take someone of a medication and not tell them! Do you not know how dangerous that is?!

And another time back in 2011 when I had surgery to remove some of my colon, a nurse refused to not let me walk. I still had the EPIDURAL IN MY BACK!!
Well, she made me sit up and then try and stand and guess what? Yep, she dropped me!!
Also during the same time, the nurses lied to me . They didn’t tell me that my Dr wanted me to start walking. So when he came in and was mad at me I had no idea why.

Tell me how this is ok!!

I will never come back not will I be recommending it to anyone.

Almost a full month ago I submitted my insurance info to the hospital for them to forward my medical bills for payment. They never even resubmitted the bills to insurance. I cant even tell the lady in the billing department that. Or the fact I did not consent to receiving the care I had been given. She hung up on me so I dont even know what is going on with my account. As soon as I was in the ER they gave me a pain killer that made me loopy. I have no memory of even leaving the hospital. I dont remember anything until the next day. They took advantage of me and the situation to run tests that I clearly did not need in order to make my bill even larger. I will die before I ever go back to Alomere Fraud Care.

Just left the hospital after total knee replacement yesterday.  My surgeon is with Heartland Orthopedics and does his surgeries at Alomere. I couldn't be happier.  Every staff person was helpful and seemed to love their jobs.  The pre-surgery workshop and binder of information answered all my questions.  The "Joint Class" after surgery was entertaining and very informative. I highly recommend Heartland and Alomere!

My wife was having very painful contractions and decided to get an epidural. In the middle of these painful contractions she had an anesthesiologist named doctor yang poking around in her back trying to insert the epidural when he decided it was a great time to explain to her that the reason he was having so much trouble was because she has a bad case of scoliosis… this was news to us and it also didn’t make sense given the fact that she had an epidural administered by someone else with no issues just a year and a half prior. After 8-10 minutes of fishing around in her spine, my wife was hunched over screaming in pain from not only some very rough contractions but also from his handiwork which he assured us was the fault of her newly diagnosed spinal condition. Even with all this, his cell phone began to ring and he found it to be an appropriate time to leave instruments dangling out of her back in order to answer the call… he literally spoke on the phone for 1 to 1.5 minutes about something that sounded less than urgent as she cried in agony before continuing his work. He did finally get the epidural situated.
The birth itself went well and we have a healthy and beautiful baby girl, praise God. But just as I feared, my wife ended up with a post–dural puncture headache- a radiating migraine running up your spine and across your shoulders while the back of your head pounds like it’s going to split open, especially when you sit up or try to stand. This is caused from leaking spinal fluid. Which didn’t surprise me considering he put 6 holes in her back.
After hours of begging him to come back to do a blood patch to fix it, he finally did. It took about 20 minutes and she felt some slight relief but it came right back as soon as he had her stand up…. He assured us that it should slowly get better. The nurse told us to come back in 24 hours if it wasn’t feeling better.
Well after a full day of complete agony we went back in to get another blood patch since everything online also said that this was the typical protocol. However, it was doctor yang on call again and he refused to do another one. He said to come back the next week and he’d decide if he would repeat the process.
I called around and spoke with multiple other anesthesiologists and they all said they didn’t see any reason not to move forward with another blood patch and that leaking spinal fluid can actually be dangerous to leave untreated.
We ended up going to the ER in St. Cloud that weekend. The doctor there performed a flawless blood patch in all of about 5 minutes. He also told us that there were no signs of scoliosis in her spine. Not only that but we learned that proper procedural practice is to lay completely flat for about an hour after receiving a blood patch to let it set which is more than likely why the first one from doctor yang failed as he didn’t mention anything about that and had her walking around the room almost immediately after….
So take this however you want. There are a lot of good folks at this hospital who made other aspects of our experience pleasant. I’d say our issues were mostly with the individual than the entire facility.
Bottom line, I’d recommend steering clear of doctor yang. But, if you’re in an emergency situation requiring his assistance, I’d suggest at least double checking any calls he makes with Google and asking him to turn his ringer off before he begins any procedures.
