I spent 10 days in this hospital. In that time, the toilet bowl had mold in it and was there the whole time. My bedding was changed once. There were a couple of amazing nurses. Also a couple that were so rude. One threw my earrings away while I was down in radiology. I had them on my tray. Employees in Radiology were wonderful. I moved to another room and the toilet leaked. I didn't use my call button except when I needed meds. I rang the call button and heard from no one for over an hour. I had requested help and was told they would bring it to me. Three his later and nothing. My son ended up having to call the nurses station three times. I will not use this hospital again

Was flown to this hospital to deliver my preemie baby! He was in the NICU for about a month. The NICU workers are AMAZING! He unfortunately ended having some respiratory issues and we have been back to the PICU multiple times. The staff is absolutely amazing as well, the nurses, and doctors truly go over and beyond up in the PICU. Everytime we have been treated so well! They do a fantastic job with their patients and also with parents/family. I’m from a small rinky dink town, the options for children’s hospital are St. Louis children’s or Springfield St. John’s, I will ALWAYS choose St. John’s!

The healthcare my father is currently receiving has not been good!!  We’ve requested a transfer to Barnes as we have lost faith in the care he is getting at St. John’s Hospital. I’ve had to push for additional testing, push for treatment, push for communication, push for sedation and I’m NOT A DOCTOR!! We’ve had several conflicting tests results all performed here and had to push for clarification and repeat tests. Very delayed responses from doctors. We requested patient advocate team to contact us on Thursday, still nothing to date. He was admitted on Monday and allowed to suffer in agony until late Thursday evening!!! To say we are disappointed is an understatement. The nurses have tried to advocate for us as they have been the only real lines of communication. This experience has been very disheartening and has really brought to light how little people care, it’s so devastating and respect has been lost. 💔 #HSHS

This is a very unprofessional hospital, please do not go here. Explain to me why your shift change was more important than getting my wife pain meds or even an IV put in. We sat in the ER for 30 minutes with her writhing in pain. I went to the nurses station every 10 minutes and every-time I was bothering your sorry nursing staff. Do better, or get out of the medical field. Your apathy still makes me mad to this day. She was treated like garbage downstairs in the ER before we got to labor and delivery. We had a still birth in this hospital and no one down stairs in the ER cared or showed us any empathy. The nursing staff in labor and delivery was amazing but the ER was so traumatic for us that I’d never go back here unless memorial was closed. I’d drive to another city before going to St. John’s.

I took my mother here, who was having a difficult time breathing one evening....and I regret listening to the folks that suggested that St John's was a good place to take her. I should have listened to the others who said, stear clear of that hospital, if you really care about your mother.

I don't even know where to begin, in regards to listing ALL the mouth dropping issues that occurred during her stay at that hospital.
However, out of respect for YOUR time, I'll just list the ones that glare the most.... 1) They lost her cellphone... her  most critical means of communication with her family.. used to call in to comfort and check on her at any time.  They lost it and had no idea where it was for over a week.... A WEEK.
THEY NEVER OFFERED AN APOLOGY.... THEY NEVER OFFERED A REAL EXPLANATION..... AND THEY NEVER EVEN BOTHERED TO OFFER REPLACING THE DEVICE...which, again, was used for HER comfort...(so that she could call us and for us to call her, without bothering the staff). I had to work really hard.. like a private investigator to track the phone down, which was eventually located OFF the premises, across town, at the business that does their laundry....OVER A WEEK LATER. 🤬😡🤨
2) Nine times out of ten, the night staff was literally non existent. No matter how many times you called or the time of day that you called,  you were never going to reach anyone to check on your loved one.
3) They also flat out lied about her care..  A couple days to check her out, turned into a four week debacle.... I'm still looking into my legal options to address my issues with them.

Bottom line... I wouldn't dare look in the direction of this place, ever again, for ANYthing....even as small as a mosquito bug bite...

AVOID THIS HOSPITAL!!!!!
