I do value respect & congeniality in my opinion of a healthcare provider(s) during the visit . Because of this alone, I wouldn't risk getting aggravated again by the sophomoric staff. It's never a good day for the patients that require care and how they will treat you there is up in the air until then.   Shame, good area with mice folks in the community and skilled workers too they've just adapted to a culture of less desired characteristics.

Great Hospital from checking in all the way to being an admitted and checked out I walked in into severe pain. They took my pain very seriously they took excellent care of me. I’m not even from Chicago Apple, California and I can say my home state never treated me this good so shout out to the doctors and nurses that helped me out. Today is my checkout day and I feel 1000% better so I appreciate you guys that’s all and I will pay my bills because you guys earned it.

I have stage 3 endometriosis, I was admitted into the hospital
I waited 20 hours in the emergency for a bed.
I was suffering extreme pain and very bad endo flare up. This lady and her team deprived me of everything to get better, I actually left because I felt like they were killing me , they left me in so much pain.
I had to call the director of the hospital multiple times in order to help me, even the slightest. The er doctor I had was amazing Dr Patel, he understands my condition and what I am going thru. I hate this hospital most do and that’s why no one comes unless they don’t have insurance. They treat you like an animal. Never again.

My review is for the Labor and Delivery department. I was skeptical about giving birth at McNeal but I love my OB so I decided to give it a try. I had a bad experience at Loyola when I gave birth to my son and figured that it couldn’t be as bad. It wasn’t, far from it. I had the absolute BEST experience. The care that I received from the labor and delivery team was outstanding. Nurses Tina and Jessica had the best bedside care and were very empathetic. They made me feel very safe in their care. They came to check on me often and made sure that I was okay. I cannot say enough good things about Tina and Jessica. They were there during the time when I was in the most physical pain and I will remember the way they took care of me forever. Priscilla from the nursery was great with my newborn. I love the way she handled her and answered all of our questions and concerns. Doctor Winters was very thorough and explained step by step what our options were at every stage of my delivery. This team hands down gave me the best care that I have ever received and I will always be grateful to the L&D team.

I went to the Emergency Room two times in one day. The first time I waited 1.5 hours in extreme head pain in the waiting room to be seen by even just a nurse practitioner. The front desk workers are so slow at their jobs of typing and checking people in. They were giggling and laughing while doing their job. I found that inappropriate considering there were families and people in distress. This hospital is unprofessional on so many levels. I had severe head pain where they left me in the waiting room with no nurse present or near.

2 hours later, I was given an IV and left alone in the room for longer than it took for the IV to be done. If I didn’t advocate for myself multiple times during my stay, I would have been left alone for even longer. I pressed the button several times to get their attention. No one came. To the point I had to get up and go ask a random worker in the hallway for help.

A couple hours later, I returned in extreme head pain again. I was left in a room with several other patients for 4+ hours where no one checked on me. They administered me more pain medication with no further plan to check on me. I went up to the nurses station to ask for updates. They literally told me they would go remind my nurse about me… She hadn’t checked on me in 4 hours. I was told I was waiting for a bed and they didn’t know if there would be one for several more hours. Meanwhile in the next room there were literally prisoners receiving food and a patient caretaker. Prisoners are treated better than literal free-world patients with private insurance at this hospital. I asked to leave the hospital without receiving proper care. I will never return here again.
